Subject: Theory Date: Wed, 19 Jul 2000 12:47:53 EDT From: BKEmpire@aol.com To: Knuckles@emulationzone.org I know hardly anything about the HPZ in Sonic 2 or how to get to it. BUT this is probably just something to think about...maybe.....(I have no idea if you get to the HPZ through Mystic cave 2 or somewhere else but this was kind of weird and I've always thought though I'm probably wrong that this certain way is how to get there) There is something that I thought was kind of.......weird that may have some significance. This kind of a walkthrough so listen up. Lock on Sonic 2 with Sonic and Knuckles. Somehow get to Mystic Cave act 2 (Stage select or otherwise). You should be playing as Knuckles (DUH!). Pull the very first lever thing to make the wooden door go down. Glide to the other side without falling. Go forward to the little platforms that hit each other. Wait till the first one comes up to you then jump onto it then wait for the second one and do the same. When the platform reaches its highest point, jump to the little yellow boingy thingy (spring). Bounce up to the lever pull it and jump to the wooden door. Now go forward to the red spring. Jump on it and hold left. You should go through the wall to a hidden savespot. Climb either wall (preferably the left one). You will notice blocks blocking the way up. Since then I have thought that that is the way to the HPZ. I'm PROBABLY 100% wrong but who cares. It's just something to think about. ANOTHER THING TO THINK ABOUT. This isn't as stupid as the last one. OK this has to do with HPZ and its location. Do the Sonic 3 Level Select code (the one were you must use the Sonic 2 cartridge). ON THE LEVEL SELECT SCREEN you will notice that each level icon (the little thing on the bottom with wings) is from Sonic 2. Scroll down till you reach the Wing Fortress icon. Push down 2x. There it is folks the long lost HPZ icon and guess what, it's between Wing Fortress and Death Egg. Now I conclude from this that HPZ is between Wing Fortress and Death Egg. Maybe. AND THIS. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THE MYSTERIOUS ENEMY IN WING FORTRESS THAT JUST HAPPENS TO BE IN THE DEBUG MENU? It's a little stick thing that spins around really fast.
