There
are over 40 shots of Sonic R, all with the original, dodgy pictures
on the position board from SSM and C&VG magazines. The scans
are all in the scan section.

This
shot was from C&VG, which has different icons for the unlockable
Metal characters. In the final they're dull with big red X's over
them. This may have been an edit by C&VG itself to make it
more obvious.
