Found inside the Mega Collection ISO is this image, a pre-release game selection screen! It's very basic and all using Japanese characters besides Mean Bean Machine [as it's a US game].

The messages read:

1. Sonic The Hedgehog
2. Sonic The Hedgehog 2
3. Dr. Robotniks Mean Bean Machine
4. Ristar the Shooting Star
5. Flicky
6. Monster Lair
7. Vectorman

Also within the ISO was un unused sound track 3:34 long and very different to the upbeat, generic music found in the final compilation.
