An
image that shows UFOs in the sky, something that was shown a
fair bit in Sonic 1 promotional things. Also, Sonic's rings
are flying out differently to the complete version. Also it
says "Ring" instead of "Rings" on the HUD,
like most of these images.

An
odd image of Marble Zone, this image shows that originally there
were flip platforms floating in the air, sort of like Wing Fortress Zone
in Sonic 2. The lava is also very different than the final version, as it's more bubble-like, and is glowing from the edges. The ground below Sonic is also a much different shape than the final, with a variety of "floating" platforms.

like the planet Saturn, and are in a different animation to the

the right of the right mechanism, shown by the light coloured
bricks, is meant to hold a flame. This version had yet to have
it implemented, unlike the picture below.

"Ring" thing is the only thing wrong here, but also
notice the fire is on in the background, where it wasn't in a
previous picture. This must be a newer version.
