Revision SC is the version of Sonic 2 found in Sonic Compilation [or Sonic Classics 3 In 1 in the US]. However, the copy of Sonic 2 inside the cart is different to other cart releases!

However, the Sonic Hacking community refuse to name this version of Sonic 2 "Revision 02". This is because, from what we can tell, there was never a cartridge release with the SC bug fixes. Until such time, it can only bee seen as possibly a little fixup hack done by the people behind the compilation.

The major fix in Revision SC is the fixing of the Super Sonic ubg at the end of first acts. In Revision 00 and 01, if you jumped in the air before leaving the screen, and turned into Super Sonic, you'll get stuck in the air. Revision SC fixes this bug. As soon as you pass the end post, Sonic will be unable to turn into Super Sonic.
