Sonic 2 Pirates, like the Sonic 1 Pirates, simply get rid of the SEGA logo in and outside of the game. When you play the game, the SEGA logo on the title screen is missing, and some times is known to have a messed up options selection too.
This is the cover Sonic 2 Beta was found in, but was also used for generic pirates [like mine].
