This was bought by Jana Abaza about 3 days before the official release of the game. The cart is obviously got a dodgy sticker on the front of it. The game also does not include the SEGA logo at the beginning, it just goes to the beginning video.

This is the box from the pirate game. There is no sign of the SEGA logo, and the spine is cheaply done.

Another pirate Sonic 3D cartridge. The artwork on the side appears to be from prototype shots, with blue checkered floors.

Here is a pirate cart Psychobob found through Ebay. Supposedly names "Sonic 5", it's merely a rush cover with images stuck on the back.

Heres are cart from the pirate. Oddly, the game has a notch to one side [Like an Asian game], but the other does not [Like US/EUR carts]. I've enhanced the image here, but the full images is the original.

The only differences to the game are that the SEGA and Travellers Tales logos have been taken out, along with the music from the intro.
