Taken from an early streaming video of the game, this shot shows us an early version of the Sonic Advance 2 title screen. The checkered background constantly scrolls down the screen.

The character select screen is almost finished, but the characters artwork is from Sonic Advance 1. In the final they're completely new and a lot larger. Also, the aqua area has scrolling 'SA2' text diagonally, while this does not.

A small mistake by Sonic Team, when the original screenshots were brought to our attention, this one had an Amy lives icon instead of Creams, and completely the wrong colours! This began fears that Cream was nothing but an Amy clone, but was later proved false. This gathering of characters doesn't happen in the final game, but might be a multiplayer shot. Cheese is also nowhere to be found.

This image was later replaced by the same shot, but with Creams head.
