SA2 World Ranking System

Submitted by: Blaze Hedgehog

Deep within Sonic Adventure 2 lies the last of a World Rankings system. The World rankings were used in SA1 but was plagued by cheaters, which is most likely why this never made it out. This was all found by Blaze in Advertise.prs. Below is a call list which finds everything required by the world rankings list. advsng_3.adx is just the regular menu music.

After going through that a little bit and through some other text, you find the rest of the World Ranking menu text. Most of it speaks for itself -- there was a login and registration system (obviously to cut down on cheating). You could search rankings by country and name, etc. The whole thing was called "The Sonic Network". The text for World Rankings isn't just in english either -- it exists in all languages SA2 was translated to (French, German, Spanish, Japanese, and English). Here it is:

Here is some menu text written in the SA2 style, used most likely for the titles of pages. You could check the current Top 20 in different orders, and also a ranking by country.

Submitted by: Blaze Hedgehog

This would have been used to point out which character was being played for which level, next to the rankings.

Some more mysterious bits of menu systems. One bit says "comment", maybe you could comment on a decent score?

Submitted by: Blaze Hedgehog

"Forgot your Password?" When you logged into the Sonic Network, this would have been a helper if you forgot your password.

And here is the title, most likely used on most, if not every, page.

The Ranking system allowed you to also show which country you were from, so small little flags were avaliable to show up on the rankings.

With the accounts it looks like you could e-mail or chat to other people also in the system, or maybe a special message board was viewable.

Lastly, this big Emblem piece was also in there, probably used on the site somewhere.
