Sonic Adventure 2 preview was the next demo up from The Trial, after Shadow was shown and the characters known. This version was only given to the press.

The demo begins with this message, just telling you that it is not the final game, and everything is still being worked on.

This was the title screen for the Preview, with [Preview] written in big letters under the logo.

'Preview' contained 7 main levels, as well as 3 2 player VS. Levels. Through a new, basic menu system [see the seperate section], you can choose these different options.

When you select Hero, you can choose between the three seperate Hero characters.

Sonic has two levels selectable, City Escape [from the previous demo] and Green Forest. Tails plays in Prison Lane, and Knuckles plays in Wild Canyon.

For the Dark side, you choose seperate levels for Shadow, Rouge, and Eggman.

Shadow Plays in the Radical Highway, Eggman plays in Sand Ocean, and Rouge plays in Dry Lagoon.

By choosing 2PV.S, you can choose between 3 stages. You can play as Shadow or Sonic in Green Forest, Knuckles or Rouge in Wild Canyon, or Tails and Eggman in On the Prison Island.
