In almost every time of Tidal Tempest in 510 has horrible water colours. Here we can see Sonic in the past with lime green water. |
In the final game the water is a dull brown colour. Also notice how in the final only the background is 'wavey' and moves with the water, but in the prototype both the background and foreground sway back and forth. |
These turning Tetris blocks do appear in the final game, but more of them are present in 510. In the final many are just interchanged with platforms. |
The green colour of the water also agitates other graphics. The Score turns black, and anything else yellow like the monitors. |
At the beginning of Act 2, Sonic is stuck between a rings box. Also the waterfall to the right has no animations, only the one, like it's been frozen. |
In the prototype these spikeballs appear in fours, this doesn't occur in the final. |
This platform here has a switch, which will make the platform extend so Sonic can go further. In the final it's replaced by a spring. |
In the final game this rush of water is much higher than this. |
Here is a bit of an oddity, in the final there is only one platform, but in the prototype three platforms are linked together and go around in circles. |
Like most prototype levels, the flowers which come out of robots are also different. In the prototype the flowers look like Jellyfish on a stem, while in the final it looks like a jagged sunflower. |
