An odd find, it appears in the opening of Sonic Chaos, the running sprite of Tails is constantly in the tile set. Tails however, does not use this animation, instead using his Walk instead. It stays there while Sonic is running as well, and the Sonic sprite turns into Tails as soon as Sonic's off screen. So it appears that at one time, both Sonic & Tails would be chasing Eggman at the same time.
