Sonic's
snowboarding down the second half of the Ice Cap level. Sonic
seems to be doing a move which involves grabbing his board,
but he does nothing like it in the final game. For a larger

Sonic
does a large flip with his board. AAt this stage of development
there were no large walls surrounding the Ice Cap zone, so you
can see a great background to it. Also the whole area was surrounded
by trees much different to the ones you interact with on course.
You can see a corner of one on the bottom left of the image
above. Click the image for a larger version.

Again,
the weird trees in the far background can be seen in this shot
from the SA webpage.

This
image shows off a bridge in Ice Cap Zone, which the avalanche
plows through. There IS a bridge in the final game, but it's very
difficult to see with the new camera angle, and all you can see
is it breaking up behind you.

This
image from an early video of Ice Caps's Snowboarding Sequence.
It has a score counter at the bopping side to side.

Sonic
flies through some leafless trees as he lands from a jump. This
never happens in the final.

This
is from the webpage you go to when online with Sonic Adventure.
Here
Sonic is clearly strutting along the peculiar bridge from Ice
Cap, even an enemy is there. Most likely this was there instead
of the rocket used in the final to get to the second area, and
the same one crushed during the snowboard action.

From
the Prototype video, Tails swerves through these trees. In the
final these trees don't exist.
Also,
you can see the word 'Level' in the HUD, which isn't in the final
game. The ring is also larger than the final.

Sonic
hits the final jump pad, causing ice to fall down. But the pad
is very different, in the star shape of the classic Sonic bumpers,
but in the final each is numbered between 1 to 5, and the final
step doesn't even have this last one, just the land.

A
clearer version of the final step of jumps from the SA online
webpage.

Big
is jumping for joy, doing his little dance, but the camera is
wrong for the scene, and there is no way for Big to be dancing
up there, as he would have to catch a fish.
