Knuckles'
floats through the levelusing his gliding abilities. in the
distance to the right you can see the background, but in the
final game the entier area is enclosed within buildings. Also,
the blue Van does not exist in the final game.

At
the other end of Speed Highway for Knuckles [which is the beginning
of Speed Highway: At dawn for Sonic], there was this huge hole
in the landscape. Nothing like it appears in the final game.

Knuckles
shows off his uppercut moves at the top of a building. The move
was taken out in the final game.

Like
the punch, it has three steps. This is the final step with some
effects added to it.

Tails
flies through the first section of Speed Highway. The buildings
are quite different, and are brighter in the final game.

Again,
darker buildings present. Also I don't think the road underneath
Tails exists in the final game.

Now
here is an picture of the final stages of Tails final level, but
where are the speed boosters? The giant missile is also missing
from the buildings rooftop.

This
bowl in the prototype video is blue, in the final it's grey, like
the rest of the landscape.

In
the final game this area is vastly different for Tails' game.
Robotic cops should be surrounding the area, and speed up bits
and pieces should be in the direction Tails is facing.

The
shooting platform is huge compared to the final one, ans is also
set for takeoff to the 'Going Down!' segment, which Tails doesn't
get to. Tails' game probably wasn't completed yet, so they just
stuck him into Sonics version, as no Eggman race is on either.

Tails
does a little dance during the video, in a section where he doesn't
perform it in the final.

The
clip from the prototype video shows that the original camera angle
was a lot lower to what it is in the final game during the first
loop.

lot darker than in the final game.

This
section of Speed Highway at dawn doesn't exist. It is the same
area that was in the first Knuckles picture.

In
the video Sonic runs down the 'Going Down!' segment of Speed Highway,
but half way through he dissapears for a second, than reappears
moments later. This was probably an early glitch.

Also
in the early videos these signs of 'Level' in the HUD. They don't
appears to be used at all, and were taken out of the final release.
Also, the ring is larger in the HUD than the final.
